Sadie...

Sadie is my wonderful, adorable little pug. I love her to death! Sadie used to sleep with me every night when she first started living with me. It was easier that way because she used to sleep in Jon's bed every night. However, when summer ended and school started it got really annoying. Every time she would wake up, I would wake up. She was still a puppy and wasn't sleeping through the whole night yet so she would get up and play at like 4 a.m. I was exhausted all day! I put up with it for one semester and during Christmas, but when the next semester started I decided to keep Sadie in her pen during the night. It wasn't bad at all and there were nights where I would try to have her sleep with me, but she would end up jumping back into her pen and go to bed. So when summer started and I didn't have class anymore I had Sadie sleep with me for a few nights. She is quite the cuddler and she makes herself comfortable in any spot. Even on my head. It's really cute. She wakes up every morning and spends about an hour looking out the window. I still haven't figured out what she looks at, but it's really cute.
At 6:40 a.m. my Mom comes in to say goodbye when she leaves for work and for some reason Sadie thinks it's time to wake up. At first I would just open the blinds and get more sleep while she looked out the window, but now the window doesn't keep her attention as well as it used to and she starts barking at the people outside, so I started putting her back in the pen. She cried all morning until I picked her back up and put her in bed with me. After a few days of that I just started ignoring her and yelling at her. She would lay down and cry quietter and give me this face. She looks and soudnds so incredibly sad. So, she started sleeping with me again and it's now her fault that I am awake at 6:15 writing a blog about her. The last couple of days when Sadie starts making this face, I go in the guest room to finish sleeping. However, this morning something quite different happend.

Sadie woke me up at 5:30 in the morning this morning. She came right up to my face and started giving me kisses. I put my blanket over her and she fell right to sleep again. I was so incredibly happy. However, at 6:11 this morning I woke up to Sadie throwing up in my bed. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. I didn't know why she was sick. I cleaned up my bed and then reorganized her pen so the carpet was covered just in case she got sick again.
I groom dogs. I cut the hair of 2 yorkies and my pug, I clip their nails, clean their ears, and brush their teeth. So, I recently bought Sadie a new toothbrush which she loved. It has bristles on both ends! I usually put toothpaste on it and brush her teeth and then I give it to her and she chews on the bristles for a little while. This is how I have brushed her teeth since she came to live with me. It's really cute to watch. She loves it! However, this morning while I was cleaning her pen I found her toothbrush half eaten! I am pretty sure that is what is making he sick. When I grabbed it she thought I was playing with her so she snatched it out of my hand and ran away with it. When I try to take things away from Sadie or try to put her in the pen when she doesn't want to go she hides under the bed. It's not impossible to get her out since I own such a small bed, but it's really cute. She doesn't just hide under the bed, but she pokes her head out and watches me. She thinks that I can't see her. I got her out, put her in the pen, and went to sleep in the guest room, but the computer was calling my name. I couldn't go back to sleep so I blogged.
I love my puppy to death, but whoever said dogs aren't like babies lied. She is just like a baby... ony with a scrunched face and big googly eyes.
