Graduation time...

My little brother, Donny, is graduating tomorrow! I am so excited for him, but I have to admit that it's a little scary to think about. Donny and I used to do everything together. I have known him his whole life and it's weird to think that he is so grown up now.

Yesterday Donny, Kristi and her family, and I all went to my Dad's house for dinner. I knew my cousin Sonja and Aunt Helen were gonna be there, but to my surprise it was also my Uncle Brian, his wife, and his kids and their kids. It's so crazy to see people you haven't seen in forever. It sucks that my aunt and her family live close (compared to every one else in our family) and we never see them. Family is a big deal to me so when I see family that I haven't seen in a while it makes me sad that I don't get to see them more. I missed my grandparents and my aunts and cousins.

So, it was almost time to leave and I saw Jills, my step-mom, scrapbook. I love looking at her pages because I love scrapbooking too. She's a lot better then me, but it always gives me ideas for mine. In the back of the book she had 2 pages. One had pictures of me and my brothers and sisters and the last one had pictures of me, Cody, Donny, and Wyatt. This page especially caught my attention because I don't really think about all the fun we used to have together anymore. Cody and Wyatt still live in Fresno of course, but I rarely see them. It makes me sad because the four of us used to be so close. I wish we still were.

On the way home I was talking to Donny about it. We went through the longest trip down memory lane. It started out with the of us and how we used to watch movies in Cody's water bed or how we would play Monopoly on nintendo until we were so tired (thanks Wyatt for stealing all of my money just so you could win lol). It then turned into just me and Donny and how we used to clean out our pan cupboards and sit in them with pillows all day just eating Cheerios. We talked about how we used to sit in front of the TV in laundry baskets watching Power Rangers. Donny and I were best friends. Which is why I am happy he decided to stay home for at least another year. I am a little upset that I will no longer be getting his room or his bed, but I can live with it I guess. Anyway, I am so proud of him and I love him very much.
