Jonathan Ryan Williquette

The newest member of our ever-growing family, Jonathan Ryan Williquette. Born July 17, 2008. He was 7lbs 15oz and he's 20 1/2 inches long. He is such a beautiful baby boy. I had no idea anything had happened until I got home from work yesterday and saw Sarah, Miranda, and Hayden all at the house. I knew instantly! It's so exciting! I have been waiting for Baby Jonathan to come for such a long time now. Kristi went to her Dr's appt yesterday and they pretty much just kept her there. He was born at 3:30 am. We went to the hospital at 9:30 this morning with all the kids. I love him already! Sarah and Miranda both love him too. Hayden wasn't too happy about Kristi's attention being somewhere else, but he'll get over it I am sure. We tried to get him to have a little interaction with the baby. It worked for a little while until Hayden smacked Jonathan in the face. Jonathan didn't even cry. What a trooper! I am sure he's going to have to put up with a lot more than that over the next several years from all of his brothers and sisters. Hayden seemed to lighted up a little after that. We even got him to put his arm around Jonathan and lay down with him. It was so cute! Kristi is doing well too. I am sure she will probably kill me for putting this on here, but oh well. She's extremely excited that Jonathan is finally here! She's also ecstatic about her sudden loss of 10lbs. Yes Chris, I am sure the Wii Fitt will be very happy with Kristi's progress. She was blessed with such beautiful kids and I am very happy for the chance to be an aunt again. It's time like this that I wish our whole family lived close. Poor DK won't get to meet his new cousin for a while. Next up is Maycee and then who knows maybe a little Ashley or Wyatt. : )

Congratulations Donny!

Yesterday was a very exciting day! We all woke up bright and early to take Donny shopping for his new apt. It took us about an hour to find just the right pan set, but we did it. I think he was a little overwhelmed when he realized how much stuff he actually needed. It was very exciting for me though. I am so happy for Donny, but I am going to miss him so much. He left for EFY for like 4 days and before the first day was even over I already missed him. I don't know what I am going to do when I don't see him for months. I guess we'll be making a lot of trips out to UT now. After shopping we went to lunch and then we took Kristi home so she could get the kids ready for Donny's Court of Honor.

We brought a bunch of stuff from Donny's scouting days to decorate the table with. We couldn't put everything out that we wanted to, but it still looked really nice. Donny shared his ceremony with 2 other boys from our ward. The church was decorated very nicely and one of the dad's put together a great slide show. Of course I cried. My Mom and Terry presented Donny with his Eagle and my Mom also gave Donny my great- grandpa's scouting hat. She was told to give it to the first boy in the family who got his Eagle. Donny and my great-grandpa are the only ones who have gotten. It really is a great accomplishment and a lot of hard work went into all of his projects. He looked so handsome in his scouting uniform yesterday. Cody and Ashley even came. Thanks guys, it really meant a lot to him. He wished my dad and Jill could have been there, but he understands. Of course he also wished Wyatt could have come. We haven't seen him in forever!Sheryl, Terra, Josh, and DK were all missed too. I love things like this when I get to see my whole family together. I am getting older now and a lot mushier. I love my family so much and I wish I got to see all of you more often. Donny leaves in 18 days. We intend to start packing this week so we can make sure he has everything he will need. So far it's sad, but not real yet. I am sure it will hit home when the boxes start lining up in the hallway. I am so going to miss him, but I am so excited for all of the great college experiences I know he is going to have. Congratulations Donny, I am so proud of you!

Wow...

So much has happened in the last few weeks and I don't even know where to start. First off, Baby Birdie is gone. We read something on the internet that said if you make a little nest and put it in a tree that birds will take care of it. So we took a little strawberry basket, stuffed it with paper towels and put him in our olive tree. I watched for a little bit and birds would walk up to the nest. It was so cute! My step-dad went to check on him when he got home from work, but Birdie wasn't in the nest. I have decided that Birdie was taken by his parents back to their nest. Terra tried to tell me that birds can't carry other birds and that it was probably eaten, but that made me sad so I decided that they found a way!

Terra, Josh, and DK (my nickname for Dakota), came up to Fresno on the 19th. I was so excited! It was my first time seeing DK and I loved it. I didn't get to spend a lot of time with them because of the HS Football camp that same weekend. It was so hard to say goodbye to all of them and of course I cried. I missed DK's blessing and everything. I love him so much. He's such a good little boy and I can't wait to spend more time with them. I miss them already!

The HS Football camp was for the Athletic Training program. Everyone told me I was going to hate it, but surprisingly... I loved it! There were 6 teams there most of which had a JV and Varsity. It was a lot of fun. I didn't mind the heat that much and the water girl part wasn't too bad either. I saw a lot of good injuries, got to tape a few ankles, wrists, fingers, and thumbs, but the best part was that my first aid training totally came into play. I didn't have a problem tearing the tape at any point of the 4 day camp even when my hands were sweaty! The worst part of the camp was this one girl who is also a level 2. We might have a few problems with her this year, but other than that everyone else meshed well and we started to feel sort of like a family. I really enjoyed it and I can't wait for the next camp.

I have been reading like crazy! I started reading the Twilight series about 2 weeks ago and just finished the 3rd book. I couldn't put them down. I read each one in a day or less! Obsessive I know, but they are just too good. Now I am reading them all over again. I can't wait till the new one comes out on August 1st. I am debating on the movie. When I read I picture things a certain way and I don't want the movie to ruin how good the books were. Maybe I am just paranoid.

We got Rockband a week ago and we have played it pretty much every day since. I have to tell you that I am pretty good at the drums. Guess I inherited it from my dad. My family says I am quite entertaining on the Mic, I am just afraid that people will think I am drunk. I guess I get a little crazy. I really enjoy it though. It's something we can all do together.

I got Ashley's and Wyatt's wedding invite and Ashley's bridal shower invite too. I am so excited! I can't believe my big brother is getting married. I still remember the nights we would stay up and build dominos just we could knock them all down. Donny would get so tired we'd always yell "Fork!" and he would laugh. Those were the days. Or the time we played with the bow and arrows and the bb guns. We ran all around Prather shooting each other. It's so exciting!

I went with Kristi to take Miranda to the dentist on Thursday. We got there right on time, but there were already a million people in the waiting room. We waited for a little bit, but the nurse told Kristi that Miranda might not get in till 12 even though her appointment was at 10:30. I took Sarah and Hayden home with me. Sarah and I played Hannah Montana where I had to dance like a 7th grader and Sarah had to dance on one foot. It was a lot of fun. Even Hayden got in on the action. We went swimming after, but Hayden didn't like the pool much and Sarah got bored without Miranda. So, we came in and had ice cream cones. After a few minutes I went to see where Hayden had gone too. I found him on the couch. I guess he got reall tired. Sarah and I watched Anatstasia. One of my favorite Disney movies and we waited for Kristi and Miranda to get done. She finally went in at 2:45 and was done by 3:20. It was a little ridiculous. I gave Sarah a skirt of mine to have. She looked so cute in it. We went to pick them up. Miranda looked miserable. She had blood all over her shirt and could not stop crying. I stayed at Kristi's house for a while. We went to Target so I could get my book, we went and got something to eat, and then we went back to her house. We played Wii fitt for a while. I have to tell you that I am good at the push up/side plank one and the tight rope walking one. It was fun. Then we settled down to watch Toy Story, Haydens's favorite movie right now. I have never seen him sit for such a long time. It was really cute to watch. When Kristi and Chris first started dating, Chris took Donny to see that same movie in theatre's. It's ironic and totally adorable. I can't wait for little Jonathan Ryan to come now.
The next day was the 4th of July. We went to the breakfast in the morning. Surprisingly, it was a lot of fun. I read like the whole day. I went downstairs when Kristi and the kids came. Hayden wasn't one for the pool, but my mom took him in anyway. He was so cute walking around in his little towel. He would not let go of his little soccer ball. We all ate dinner and then watched the fireworks. We live across the street from Buchanan so we took our chairs and sat in the middle of the street. They had a pretty good show this year. We had some pretty good fireworks of our own too. Of course the boys got a little out of hand, but it was fun. After the fireworks we had ice cream and then went to bed. It was a traditional 4th of July, but it was a lot of fun. Every year I think about Kristi's Ooh and Ah theory. When we were little we went to go watch the fireworks and one year she decided that it doesn't have to be Ooh and Ah, but more like ooh, ooh, ah, ah. It was weird, but something that has always stuck with me. Hayden didn't like fireworks, but the girls loved their sparklers. Now, after having my 4 day weekend I don't want to go back to work. Oh well.
