It is now the 8th week of the semester and things are started to slow down a bit. This is good because I can finally start to catch up on a lot of things and do a lot of things I have been missing out on, but this is also bad because now things are starting to catch up with me. LIKE the fact that I am utterly exhausted. I never noticed it before because I was always going, but now that I have the time to take a step back and breathe I feel like I could pass out walking down the street from exhaustion. It's ok though. It's all a part of the job description and I really don't mind it. Next year is going to be much worse so I better start getting used to it anyway. SOOOO... I know some of you know what my sport assignments for next year are, but for those of you who don't know and would like to here it is...

DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

For the Fall 2009 semester I got...

Men's and Women's Tennis

And for the Spring 2010 semester I got...

BASEBALL!

I am super stoked for my sports next year. I was pretty much in shock when I opened the letter because I was expecting something completely different. I didn't ask for Tennis, but I think it's actually quite an honor to have been chosen for it. The ATC for Tennis is extremely busy with Men's Basketball during the fall and will not have any time to work with Tennis so I will be by myself. There aren't very many Tennis athletes, but being on my own means being on my own! I just hope I am ready for it. They think I am so hopefully I can live up to that. Since I am working both Men's and Women's I will basically be in the training room ALL day. I will have NO life. At least it will get me ready for baseball in the spring which I am especially stoked for. I have had so much fun working with them over the last 7 weeks. They are a great group of guys. This is also another sport with insanely long hours though. However, I really don't mind it. Spending 8 hours there doesn't feel like 8 hours. I honestly love it. However, the GA for baseball this year is leaving and we are getting an Intern. I am not really sure how I feel about this right now, but there is 1 thing I do know. THE BOYS ARE GOING TO EAT HIM/HER ALIVE. They are all VERY picky and it takes them a long time to trust people. Their arms are their lives and they need to know that you know what you are doing before you even stretch them. THIS SHOULD BE INTERESTING!

Haha... As for now I am in my new rotation with Brad who works Men's Basketball and Tennis, but since basketball season is coming to an end I will be mostly working with Tennis. At least this will give me a head start on the team for next year! I worked my first Tennis match ever today. IT WAS INTENSE! Some of these girls have tempers. There are 7 girls on the team and only 2 are from the States. The othere are from Brazil, Russia, 2 from Canada, and even Africa. So far they seem like a great group of girls. I have yet to meet the boys though. Haha wish me luck with that!

After this I go to Fresno Pacific University where I will be working with Track and Baseball again. I guess I just can't get enough of it. I am actually turing into quite the fanatic. I am even going to a Giants game over Spring Break! As for my other teams... the Fresno State baseball team is on their way to another great season. Lets hope we can keep it up. The Softball team is still finding their feet, but I know we have the talent to go far, the Women's Basketball team just won their first game in the WAC tournament today so they have 2 more to go. Good luck girls! Our Men's Basketball team actually won their first game too and they play their 2nd game tomorrow. I hope they do well. It's been a rough season, but I know they are driven enough to pull it off. AND our football team is still deciding who the next QB is gonna be. It looks like David Carr's little brother has a big chance of starting even though he's only gonna be a freshman. I hope we do well next year.

Oh and Kristi gave me my very own copy of TWILIGHT. I have watched it every day since she gave it to me. 2 times one of the days. Haha I LOVE IT!

Friends come and go...

I know I already did a blog on this, but I would like to do it again.

This last semester was a tough one. I lost 3 of my friends, well, because they were just being stupid, and I really learned who would be there for me in the end.

Now I am proud to say that they are all talking to me again. Not because of something that I did, but because they realized their stupidity haha. I told you all they would come back. They always do.

Guess I am just too great of a person to not be friends with haha.

As for my real bestie. We are still best friends and we do EVERYTHING together. Here are some pics of when I went to visit her in San Fran for the weekend.

: )

Ok, first of all... I AM SO SORRY THAT MY LAST BLOG WAS 4 MONTHS AGO! I don't even know what you all did with your lives haha.

I can't even believe to describe how busy I have been. I finished out last semester with all A's and one B because I was a slacker in that class and never studied. Oops. Christmas break was a blast. I love having everyone here at once. But I hate having the house full of people. Sorry guys. It seems like ever since school ended there has been someone here. First Terra and Josh, then Sheryl, then Donny, then they all left and we had Dusty and Tara, then they left and we got all of Terry's family. I love my family, but sometimes I like to be able to use my own bathroom or my computer whenever I want to.

School started 6 weeks ago and I have been loving it! Today is officially my last day with baseball since they leave tomorrow morning for Oregon. Good luck boys! I am very sad that this is the end and I will most likely never work with them next year. They are a great group of guys and they should go very far this year. We already won our first series for our season opener last weekend against Washington and we played a great game again Cal Poly last night. I am so proud of them. I am going to miss them all so much. I even loved my ACI and my level 3 student that I worked with. I couldn't have hoped for a greater experience. I didn't even mind working the long hours or the weekends. That's how you know that you love what you do.

We just picked our sport assignments last week and now it's time to write my resume and cover letter. I am not going to tell you what I put down cause I don't want to ruin it, but I should find out in March some time so wish me luck!

School is going ok too, but I have this tricky Organic Chemistry class that is kicking my butt. We had our first test last week... The class average was a 49%. I got a 69%. NO BUENO! The thing that sucks the most is that some girl got 100%. Wonder what/who she was doing! Haha just kidding, she is actually one of my friends friends. She is just really smart. I can't say that I am screwed yet, but we will see how it all plays out.

I haven't been home much so I don't really know what is going on there. I made a super cute picture board, but it's not done yet and I really don't want to get my camera and plug it in and put pictures on so I will show you all a different time. Mom and Terry seem to be doing some sort of puzzle, but I don't really know. I tried to contribute so I did the sky, but that's about it. Donny is being Donny. He went to work with Terry last week. That was interesting. I woke up to Terry yelling, "Donny, time to go NOW!" Haha.

I cut my bangs. Which was also interesting. It looks like I let Hayden cut them so I am finding strategic ways to hide them until they grow out. I moved rooms, which I am very proud of myself for. I moved and decorated in one day! Now I have a big girl bed and I actually feel like an adult when I walk in my room. Sorry for kicking you out Donny.

Dereks wrestling tournament was a blast. I love that family more than anything.

AND, today is Kristi's birthday! Happy birthday old woman! I love ya!

Pink pills and puzzles...

My mom just had her crazy foot surgery on Friday. She's a pretty special person so I don't mind taking care of her. I have been bringing her food, helping her move around, changing her bandages, and tomorrow I am even washing her hair. So, none of you guys have to worry. She's is doing just fine. She took my advice and has been taking the pills the doctor prescribed for her. They are these huge pink ones! They sometimes make her sick, but usually just a little dizzy and really tired. She's not in that much pain and even walks around on her heels. I spent the day today looking at her MRI's from before her surgery and it's crazy! I can see just where they nodules were and how big they were! I even showed mom today.

The last couple of days we have been spending in her bed watching old Oprah's, Rachel Ray, Charmed (just to humor me probably), and The Wizard of Oz (twice). However, when the kids came over yesterday, Hayden totally ruined our puzzle that we have been working on for a week. The whole right side was gone! I was a bit depressed, but knew I could reconstruct it. So, tonight Mom and I decided that we would do it together. I helped her walk down the stairs and get her situated. She was a little bit mortified because the kitchen was a mess and she even tried to clean up, but I forced her to sit down. That's just mom being mom and I love her for it. So before we started I had to clean the kitchen so she wouldn't freak out and then we got to work. It took us quite a while. It was a puzzle of the Las Vegas strip and it was 2000 pieces. We saved the hardest corner for last which was all black and huge! Mom ended up getting up and getting a flash light so we could see the distinct differences of color on each piece that we couldn't see without it. What a good idea mom. At 10:45 we put in the last piece, BUT it didn't fit! Mom, probably because she was all hopped up on those pink pills, started laughing hysterically! We finished the whole puzzle and our last piece didn't fit! The pieces were all a bit awkward and some of them looked like they fit perfectly, but didn't really so it was hard and we kept on joking that we were putting the whole puzzle together wrong because we weren't sure if each piece actually went there, but we never thought it would actually happen. I found the piece that didn't fit (it was way off where mom had put is btw) and exchanged the two. So, now we have a pretty puzzle of the strip on our kitchen table.

Friends come and go, but family lasts forever

A lesson that I have come to know all too well. The day after Halloween, Lisa and I drove up to Brentwood, her home town which is like 30 mins south of San Francisco. She hadn't been home all year and we both really needed a vacation. Life is really hectic and stressful. Sometimes you just need to walk away, another lesson I learned all too well in that one week.

Anyway, Lisa and I left Saturday morning at 9:30 and made it to Brentwood in 2 hours and 15 minutes. We both decided that I am driving on all of our road trips. The whole purpose for us going was to watch this one football game at her old JC. DVC vs. Butte. It was a pretty good game except for the fact that IT RAINED THE WHOLE TIME, until the game was over and we left anyway. Then it got all bright and shiny. Hi Todd! Hopefully some of you get that and if you don't it's from Bubbleboy. I was freexing! I not only had my sweatshirt with my hood on, but Lisa's blanket and I also had an umbrella so I wouldn't actually get wet. The bay area is a whole different kind of cold than Fresno is. We had a blast though. It was fun to meet her old Athletic Trainer and meet all of her friends. After the game we went out to dinner with a couple of her friends and then rented Made of Honor which was amazing and everyone should see it! The next day we went shopping at a new mall that opened up like 5 mins from her house. They got an American Eagle which is a big deal for a town that's as small as Brentwood is supposed to be. We both ended up spending a lot of money, but it was totally worth it. Then we went back to her house to watch the Cowboys game, which sucked. She is the biggest fan ever and gets really angry when they play like crap. Me, I am pretty sure I ended up falling asleep at least 2 times. Oh well. At the end of the day we didn't want to leave. I didn't want to go home to the drama that waited for me at school. Her mom cooked up this really greay meal and her cats had all gotten attached to me. I actually sort of miss them which is weird cause I am not a cat person. Not just them though, her whole family. Her niece reminds me of Sarah. She's pretty much just as tall, but she's only 5. It was pretty amazing, but she was so cute. I can't wait for more vacations.

On the other hand, I couldn't wait to get home cause Donny was there. I miss him so much when he is in Utah, but I am so proud of him for moving away and surviving on his own. He hung out with his friends a lot, but I didn't mind. It was great to look across the hall and know he was there. It was like he had never moved. I was definitely not ready for him to leave so, I invited myself with Kristi and Chris on a trip to take him back to Sacramento so he could fly back home. We had a lot of fun. Sacramento has a lot of weird memories for me, but it was still really fun. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack, which was amazing, THANK YOU CHRIS, and then headed for the candy store. It was so much fun. After lunch we went to a science planetarium place, I don't even know what it was called, but it was really cool. We got to learn a lot about the planets. Did you know that they have a globa and a map of venus and mars. They even have names for the craters and stuff. It was way cool. The other half of the place was all animals. Donny loved the porcupine and I love the bunny which I name Thumper. He was huge! We even stayed for the little show where the lady talked about different kinds of turtles. One almost peed on her! Then we took Donny to the airport. I was the only one who cried, but I couldn't help it. I love him. So, despite all the crap that happened that week at school it was still a good week. I lost a friend, but it's cool. I decided that family is way more important and they actually care about whether they like it or not, they just have to.

Halloween!

I love Halloween. I love the scary movies, the haunted houses, the scary ghost shows that are supposedly real, dressing up in a costume at the age of 21, and having a good excuse to eat a lot of candy. For Halloween I was a ninja turtle with Lisa. We made shirts that said the names of who we were on them and bought the little kid cotumes so we could use the shells, which we also jazzed up. They were super cute! She was supposed to be Donnie, but we weren't informed that Donnie was the purple one until we had already made the shirt. SO, she was a blue Donnie. I was Raphael, the super cool red one. This was in the car before I had my really cool headband on and you can't really see our shells, but we were all decked out. We had everything except the weapons. We got ready together and then went to my friend Sal's house. It was kind of lame so we decided to leave and hang out with Lisa's friend from home, Calvin. He was pretty cool. Us leaving caused a lot of unnecessary drama, but it was worth it. We ended up having a lot of fun. Ninja turtles was probably the best idea ever. Even though there weren't four of us which everyone talked about that night, and we didn't have weapons. Friday night I had to work the soccer game. I love working them, but we always lose, which is a big downer. So I have come accustomed to working on the visitors side so I can at least stand in awe of some of the amazing plays they make. This time I wasn't so lucky. It was a great, very aggresive game. Someone even got carded. However, we won 1-0. Something that is totally great, but not what I expected.

Saturday morning Caitlyn and I woke up bright and early to go check out some apartments. My decision is not finalized yet, but we will see what happens. After a few adventures and some great apartments we decided to go back to my house to decorate out Halloween costumes. We decided to be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I am so excited. We don't have a fourth one, but we decided that it was ok. They look super cute. I will put pictures up after Halloween.

Later that night we went to Fright Night at Sierra Vista Mall. It was super fun! I usually get really scared, but this year I tried my hardest to keep my composure. There was a couple of times my ankles shook, but I never screamed! There was even a scary clown and a vampire man chasing people outside as they stood in line. I freaked out at first, but when they actually came up to us I tried so hard just to act normal. They look for people like me cause we are all little and helpless, but when he realized that I wouldn't budge he got a little bored and they didn't bother us for the rest of the night. THANK GOODNESS!

So, since we were in such a large group, we had to get split up for the maze. Caitlyn was in the group ahead of me with Lucas, Bry, and Karen, and I was in the middle group with Cesar and Lisa. Throughout the maze we could hear Caitlyn screaming which freaked me out a little because I was expecting all this scariness! At one point we even heard one of the scary people tell her not to cling to the corners. As soon as we heard him say it, I knew it was about her. It was so funny! All in all it was a pretty good night. I must admit that I was a little scared, but not as much as I was expecting. The last haunted house I went to was an actual house here in Clovis and it was 10x more scary because it was really haunted. As soon as you stepped in the door, you could just feel it. Too bad they had to close it down.

My amazing cousin...

So, I was going through my e-mails last night (sometimes it takes me a while) and I found this... Dad washed it for me a couple of times, but it hasn't been cleaned since before out trip to Utah and trust me... it got REALLY dirty driving all that way. So, I finally got tired of looking at the dirt on my back window and all the bugs on my front window, but I still didn't have time to actually wash it and I don't wanna pay the money to have someone else wash it. I am a poor college student who can't have a job so I have to save money wherever I can. SO, when I got home from class today I fo-washed it. I pretty much sprayed it with water and then dried it. I didn't think it would work as well as it did. The windows are still a little dirty and not all of the bugs came off, but I can wash the windows with those little things at the gas station the next time I get gas. YAY for a clean car!

Since I have time ; School is great. My first rotation with football is over tomorrow and I am actually really sad about it. I work with the linebackers (some of the most amazing guys on the field) and they are so sweet. They are sad to see me go too. We won Rutgers, lost Wisconsin, won in Toledo, and we just won again 36-31 against UCLA. WE ARE ON A ROLL!! Yay Ryan Mathews for leaping over a guy to score! It was a pretty sweet game! I was supposed to work the Wisconsin game, but I ended up packing my bags and leaving for Utah to see my family. It was a great reunion. Kristi, Jonathan, and I left Friday at 3 and got to St. George, UT by 12:30pm.

It was an easy drive and I wouldn't mind doing it again. I loved seeing my family. DK is getting so big... he's adorable. I hate being so far away from him. The next morning I got to see the rest of my family at breakfast. We went shopping and then we went to see Le Miserables at Tuacahn. It was so pretty and the play was amazing. I have been trying to find clips of my favorite scene to post on here, but the singing and acting aren't as good as what I saw live. I'll keep trying though. Sunday we drove up to Orem to see my little brother. I have missed him soooo much. It's so weird that he is so far away. I wish I could have spent more time with him. We spent the night at Dusty's that night and stayed up late playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band and of course talking for forever. I wish we were all closer. It's always hard to leave, but we did. Kristi and I treid to leave at 5:30, but we didn't get up till 6. Oops...

We met my mom and Terry in Vegas for the most amazing buffet ever! I had never driven in Vegas before and I had no idea where I was going or getting off at. I had to pull a... "Here's my Exit!" It's a good thing we got out of there alive. Anyway, this buffet has everything a person can ever want to eat. I wish I was a little fatter cause there were things I didn't get to eat that I really wanted to try. Ok maybe I don't wish I was fatter, but everything was so yummy.

Kristi and I got back at 8:30 on Monday. The kids tried to surprise her when we got to her house, but I walked in first and ruined it. ANOTHER OOOPS... It was a nice vacation and I decided it was something that we need to do more often. I was really sad that we had to leave. Especially since I had to come home to tests! We won't even get into that though. Let's just say that my teacher is human and makes many mistakes. It's good of her to realize she was wrong and give us the points we rightfully deserve. Too bad we pretty much had to fight to the death though. Oh well, now we are learning about fascial injuries and I am really excited to start getting my hands dirty.

Since tomorrow is my last day with football, I rotate to good ol North Gym where I will be working with Women's Basketball with Mandy. I am really excited to have her as my ACI. I feel like I can really learn a lot from her. Working with a women's sport will be quite different though and I am kind of nervous. My guys are really attached to me so I can only imagine how attached these girls are to their old student trainer. I guess we will see how it goes. It feels like the school year is flying by. It will be Christmas in no time.

My birthday was amazing. It lasted for a whole week. Starting with a birthday celebration in St. George, then CPK in Salt Lake, then Red Robin and Elephant Bar in Fresno. Almost all of my friends from the Athletic Training program came out to dinner to celebrate. It was a lot of fun. Kristi and her family came over on Tuesday, my actual birthday, to open presents. Mom made a really yummy dinner and then we played Star Wars on the Wii. It's a pretty sweet game. I thought I had made it the whole day without crying, but I opened Kristi's present last. It was 2 pictures framed in white frames (to match my room). One picture was our family at the play, but I didn't start crying until I looked at the second picture. It was one of me and Donny. It was the best present I ever could have gotten. Thanks Kris... Mom got me a grip of clothes and some new tennis shoes that I really needed. Especially now that I don't have time for a job so I am poor : (. Donny got me some shorts that I lounge in or wear to bed from his school. He bought them with his very own money. I wear them every day. Thanks bud. Sheryl got me a really cute pug book and a blanket that I sleep with every night that says "My Heart Belongs to a Vampire." I love it. I also finally took off my Tiffany's necklace and put on the necklace Terra got me. I also wear that every day. She also got me a pair of earrings that I wore for my birthday. Tara and Dusty got me a pug stuffed animal. I named her Pugselina. Now pugsley can have a girlfriend. Thanks every one for making this the best birthday ever! I love you all.

P.S. Since I didn't work the Wisconsin vs. Fresno State game I will be working the Fresno State vs. Nevada game on Nov. 7th so everyone watch for me. You probably won't see me, but it's supposed to be a good game anyway.

No other way to describe it...

I am exhausted! Everything happened perfect today! I woke up on time, got ready fast, and left my house early enough to not even mind the traffic. One spot opened up with my Dr. and I went to see Reed for physical therapy. The only thing that was kind of weird was that my mom wasn't home to take pictures of my first day. So, being me, I took them of myself. I am not too excited for classes this year. I hate classes where I have to write papers and do projects. Hopefully it all turns out well. My friend Diana is selling me her Chemistry book for $60 instead of $100. Sweet deal.

I also get to keep my job at Reed's. I won't be working as often as I would like, but at least it's some money. Now I will be going in during class breaks to do all the typing. I was surprised to see that both John and Reed missed me. Even thought neither of them would admit it... you could tell.

Yesterday was mass physicals at the Save Mart Center. I was in the Orientation room so my group was done first, but we couldn't go home till everyone was done and everything was cleaned up. So, we played around a bit with my camera. We all look so slick in out polo's and khakis. This is Evan, Cesar, Junior (Javier), me, Caitlyn, and Big Show (Michelle Sanchez). We had to come up with some nick names because there is also an ATC who's name is Javier and we have 2 Michelles. We just love to make things difficult.

I also went to the Bulldog shop today to buy more polo's since they changed the training room rules. We can now only wear polo's and they have to be tucked in. At first my total was almost $100, but when I told him I was in the AT program he gave me 30% off. It ended up being $65. Huge price difference. YAY AT PROGRAM!! Those of us who do get along have a lot of fun together. We all went to Caitlyn's house the other night to hang out. We are all the biggest dorks. We are always laughing and having fun. I am excited for this next year!

Athletic Training

So, the low down is that I have no life and no time. At least not enough to Blog anyway. I haven't even really been on the computer. My life now consists of the Olympics and anything Athletic Training. To be honest, I really don't mind. It kind of sucks that I never really have time to myself or even my family, but I am having a lot of fun. I miss my nieces and nephews and my sisters, but especially my little brother. I never realized how much of a role he had in my life until he moved away. It's so weird to think that he is not just across the hall anymore.

Anyway, the Olympics has been amazing. I record it everday which means I have to come home every night to watch it because our DVR only has 18 hours left on it. I love the summer Olympics! Swimming, diving, gymnastics, and beach volleyball are my favorites. Way to go Shawn Johnson, Michael Phelps, Misty May-Treanor, and Kerry Walsh. Did we ever doubt any of them? I was hoping Shawn would have won all around, but there is always London and I am glad she is leaving China with at least one Gold. Hopefully our girls diving can actually get a medal tonight in the 10m platform diving.

The training room has actually been a breeze too. I am getting sick of eating at RDH (The Resident Dining Hall), but it's fun every day. There are a few people who have already caused problems, but I am trying my hardest not to hold it against them. Football camp will be over on Saturday! I can see the finish line and I am in a dead sprint to get there. I worked with Soccer today which was totally fun and the reason why I actually get a break and am able to bring you this glorious blog. I also got a pedicure today! Yay soccer! School starts on Monday and as much as I need a vacation, I am really excited to see what this year will bring. I have already have a few sports in mind, but what I thought I didn't want for sure now looks somewhat appealing. We'll just have to wait and see what happens...

As for Twilight. I saw they changed the release date to Nov. 21st or something like that. I can't wait. There are so many things going on this year it's exciting! We are going to Utah the weekend before my birthday and for once I don't mind. I am actually really looking forward to going. I hear there may be a few surprises along the way! Anyway, life is a mess right now so SHERYL don't be angry if I don't blog for some time. I am trying to find balance in my schedule. We will get it figured out. In the mean time, the phone goes both ways. I am always down to text or e-mail. Kristi... tell those kids I love them. And Terra give DK some kisses for me. I love you all!

The Vet...

I took Sadie to the Vet today after physical therapy, which is going amazing by the way. I can now open my mouth 37mm without pain. It is clear that my problems with my neck are worse then I even thought my TMJ was. Anyway, I picked Sadie up and took her over there. All I wanted was her shots done because everything else gets very expensive. Sadie is very healthy for a pug. She has no problems with her eyes, nose, or hips. I even made sure her ears were fine before I took her in. Last time they charged me $260 so I would not get tricked into that again. As soon as they brought her back they did a heart worm exam. Dogs get heart worms when they ingest fleas. Well, Sadie doens't have fleas and the test is expensive so I didn't want to get it done, but they didn't even ask. They just did it! I was calculating what the total cost could be in my head from that moment on. When the vet came in she said the test was neg... DUH! But she wanted to make sure Sadie was still on some heart worm medication to prevent it. I really don't see the purpose in it, but they kept on trying to talk me into it. It was ridiculous. I love Sadie and I only want the best for her, but she has gone over a year without it and her test still came out negative. I didn't want them to think that I didn't care. I pretty much gave in.

So, then she started to inspect Sadie. She said her ears were good ; ). But the folds on her face could be cleaned better. Then she saw the stye on Sadie's eye. Sadie has gotten stye's before. Kids get them all the time and Sadie plays in worse stuff than kids do so it's bound to happen. I usually put some baby shampoo on it. It cleans it and it doesn't hurt her eye. She tried prescribing me something for it, but I told her I had already had some medicine. She believed me. I wonder how much that would have cost. She finally gave Sadie her shot which took a whole 30 seconds and then she said everything else was fine. At this point in my head I was already up to $100. I didn't want to ask her a question cause I figured she'd find a reason to charge me for that too. After 45 mins we were done. I walked up to the front desk and found out that my total for the day was $190! I freaked out in my head for a little bit then just paid it. I was ridiculous, but everything had already been done so I didn't think I had a choice. She handed me a bag which I figured was that same stupid heart worm medicine and we left.

When I got home I opened the bag to find more than just heart worm medicine. She charged me $20 for some stupid wipes to clean Sadies nose wrinkles with and she gave me a different kind of heart worm medicine. It doesn't just cover heart worm, but any other kind of parasite as well. The first heart worm stuff we got was $24 for 6 months. So, I decided to look at the receipt to see how much everything cost. Her wipes were $20, her shots were $20, her check up was $35, her heart test was $45, and those stupid heart worm pill were $70!!! I basically got screwed! I didn't even want those stupid pills in the first place! There is no way I am getting her more. So, now I will be giving her them for the next 6 months and she will never be getting them again. I don't even mind paying the $45 for the screen each year, but I will not pay $140 for the pills on top of that $45. STUPID VETS!!

Last one... I promise.

I had my very first in-service over the last couple of days. It was boring at times, but still fun. There are 18 of us and though our level 3's are extremely seperated, I am confident we will be a family. It was mostly classroom stuff, but we did get to do some c-spine stuff on the track. I had done it all before, but it was nice to get our hands dirty after sitting through lectures for a day and a half. When we were done at the track we went back inside and ran through specific senarios. It was actually a lot of fun. Nerve wrecking because every one expects me to live up to a certain expectation, but it was still fun. Ed now calls me #2. He might as well just call me Jr. I don't mind it because I don't think he means it in the sense that Terra is and will always be the best so she is therefore #1. I think he means it in the fact that I am the 2nd Castro-Conde to go through that same program. Hopefully I can kick everyone's butt like Terra did. I am very excited for the new year. They switched around the training rooms and got a few new trainers who I really enjoy. I am very excited.

Ashley and Wyatt's wedding was on Saturday. I didn't think I'd get to go because I thought in-service would run late, but we ended up getting a half day. My day started early. I ran to Target at 8am to get "Breaking Dawn," was at the training room by 9. Left at 5 and was at the reception with Kristi and Jonathan by 7:30. It was a busy day! Everything was perfect. It's weird to think that Wyatt, who is only a few months older than I am, is married now. It boggles the mind.

Curtis and a few of his friends came over when I got and didn't leave till late. So, even though I had every intention on attending church, I totally slept through it. I have basically been doing nothing but reading and sleeping for the last 2 days. I am tired, but I am proud to announce that I have finished the 4th and final book of the "Twilight" saga. It was amazing! I can't wait for the movie to come out in December. Of course I wish the books could go on forever, but I guess I will just have to deal with reading them again until the movies come out. I won't let out any secrets, but you will all love it! Anyway, back to work tomorrow and then football camp on the 13th. My new crazy schedule awaits me. It's bitter sweet. I have to start school and spend ALL my time there which sucks, but it's one step closer to graduation.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://brittanycc.blogspot.com/2008/08/last-one-i-promise.html' title='Last one... I have had TMJ since I was 15, but it hasn't started bothering me till recently. I have been having awful headaches and my neck is always tight. I couldn't tell if the headaches and neck aches were from the TMJ or not. I talked to my dentist about it and he said that if PT doesn't work I would have to wear a splint and then possibly consider jaw surgery. It's a good thing I work for the best PT in town! He diagnosed me with TMJ and Cervicalgia (neck pain). We found out that my neck range of motion (ROM) was severely limited in my neck and jaw, but we still aren't sure if they are even connected. I have only had 4 appointments and I can already feel a great difference in my face. I can now open my mouth 30mm without pain (on my first day it was only 16mm) and have even yawned a few times without hearing a pop. Of course some days are worse than others, but I am very confident that we are on the road to success. Now our biggest concern is my neck pain. It doesn't seem to be letting up at all. In fact I am in constant pain from it. Even the massaging doesn't help for very long. I still have 8 more appointments left so we will see how everything goes. Wish me luck!

Yet again...

It has apparantly been way too long since my last blog and certain people are having withdrawals. So much has happened in the last 2 weeks. Sheryl came to town and stayed in the guest room which was the reason for this madness! We had a lot of fun while she was here. I tried to spend as much time with her as I could since her and my little brother would be leaving for UT soon. We had a blast playing Tennis... Which I still need pictures from BTW ; ) and we even washed our cars together. Mine was by far the dirtiest, but I like it that way. My aunt and her sons and my grandma also came to town for my cousins farewell. It was a lot of fun spending time with them. I do wish her sons actually knew I was when they first got here though. This just means that we need to make more trips. I can't have my family not know me. The three of us had a lot of fun. We laughed A LOT! I owned my pony tail and worked my up do, Sheryl liked the Mike n' Ikes, and Donny sniffed people asking if he can get their number. Inside joke, but it's still hilarious. I wish they could have stayed longer. We went up to Yosemite the weekend before they left. We made it all the way to the top. The falls were little, but still beautiful. I do have pics, but I am too lazy to put the CD in right now so you guys will have to live without it. I did perfectly fine, but the rest of the family had me a little worried. I also MADE them "walk an extra mile," even though it was only 1/2 a mile. They complained pretty much the whole way. SISSY'S!! I got to see my first rattle snake and we also saw a Mommy bear and 2 bear cubs from across the trail. We had a blast and it was beautiful. I miss them already. Donny's room is so empty. I can't even keep his door open because looking inside makes me sad. Mom and I still haven't cleaned it, but we did tough it out and make the bed. I truly believe I have the best family ever!

Jonathan Ryan Williquette

The newest member of our ever-growing family, Jonathan Ryan Williquette. Born July 17, 2008. He was 7lbs 15oz and he's 20 1/2 inches long. He is such a beautiful baby boy. I had no idea anything had happened until I got home from work yesterday and saw Sarah, Miranda, and Hayden all at the house. I knew instantly! It's so exciting! I have been waiting for Baby Jonathan to come for such a long time now. Kristi went to her Dr's appt yesterday and they pretty much just kept her there. He was born at 3:30 am. We went to the hospital at 9:30 this morning with all the kids. I love him already! Sarah and Miranda both love him too. Hayden wasn't too happy about Kristi's attention being somewhere else, but he'll get over it I am sure. We tried to get him to have a little interaction with the baby. It worked for a little while until Hayden smacked Jonathan in the face. Jonathan didn't even cry. What a trooper! I am sure he's going to have to put up with a lot more than that over the next several years from all of his brothers and sisters. Hayden seemed to lighted up a little after that. We even got him to put his arm around Jonathan and lay down with him. It was so cute! Kristi is doing well too. I am sure she will probably kill me for putting this on here, but oh well. She's extremely excited that Jonathan is finally here! She's also ecstatic about her sudden loss of 10lbs. Yes Chris, I am sure the Wii Fitt will be very happy with Kristi's progress. She was blessed with such beautiful kids and I am very happy for the chance to be an aunt again. It's time like this that I wish our whole family lived close. Poor DK won't get to meet his new cousin for a while. Next up is Maycee and then who knows maybe a little Ashley or Wyatt. : )

Congratulations Donny!

Yesterday was a very exciting day! We all woke up bright and early to take Donny shopping for his new apt. It took us about an hour to find just the right pan set, but we did it. I think he was a little overwhelmed when he realized how much stuff he actually needed. It was very exciting for me though. I am so happy for Donny, but I am going to miss him so much. He left for EFY for like 4 days and before the first day was even over I already missed him. I don't know what I am going to do when I don't see him for months. I guess we'll be making a lot of trips out to UT now. After shopping we went to lunch and then we took Kristi home so she could get the kids ready for Donny's Court of Honor.

We brought a bunch of stuff from Donny's scouting days to decorate the table with. We couldn't put everything out that we wanted to, but it still looked really nice. Donny shared his ceremony with 2 other boys from our ward. The church was decorated very nicely and one of the dad's put together a great slide show. Of course I cried. My Mom and Terry presented Donny with his Eagle and my Mom also gave Donny my great- grandpa's scouting hat. She was told to give it to the first boy in the family who got his Eagle. Donny and my great-grandpa are the only ones who have gotten. It really is a great accomplishment and a lot of hard work went into all of his projects. He looked so handsome in his scouting uniform yesterday. Cody and Ashley even came. Thanks guys, it really meant a lot to him. He wished my dad and Jill could have been there, but he understands. Of course he also wished Wyatt could have come. We haven't seen him in forever!Sheryl, Terra, Josh, and DK were all missed too. I love things like this when I get to see my whole family together. I am getting older now and a lot mushier. I love my family so much and I wish I got to see all of you more often. Donny leaves in 18 days. We intend to start packing this week so we can make sure he has everything he will need. So far it's sad, but not real yet. I am sure it will hit home when the boxes start lining up in the hallway. I am so going to miss him, but I am so excited for all of the great college experiences I know he is going to have. Congratulations Donny, I am so proud of you!

Wow...

So much has happened in the last few weeks and I don't even know where to start. First off, Baby Birdie is gone. We read something on the internet that said if you make a little nest and put it in a tree that birds will take care of it. So we took a little strawberry basket, stuffed it with paper towels and put him in our olive tree. I watched for a little bit and birds would walk up to the nest. It was so cute! My step-dad went to check on him when he got home from work, but Birdie wasn't in the nest. I have decided that Birdie was taken by his parents back to their nest. Terra tried to tell me that birds can't carry other birds and that it was probably eaten, but that made me sad so I decided that they found a way!

Terra, Josh, and DK (my nickname for Dakota), came up to Fresno on the 19th. I was so excited! It was my first time seeing DK and I loved it. I didn't get to spend a lot of time with them because of the HS Football camp that same weekend. It was so hard to say goodbye to all of them and of course I cried. I missed DK's blessing and everything. I love him so much. He's such a good little boy and I can't wait to spend more time with them. I miss them already!

The HS Football camp was for the Athletic Training program. Everyone told me I was going to hate it, but surprisingly... I loved it! There were 6 teams there most of which had a JV and Varsity. It was a lot of fun. I didn't mind the heat that much and the water girl part wasn't too bad either. I saw a lot of good injuries, got to tape a few ankles, wrists, fingers, and thumbs, but the best part was that my first aid training totally came into play. I didn't have a problem tearing the tape at any point of the 4 day camp even when my hands were sweaty! The worst part of the camp was this one girl who is also a level 2. We might have a few problems with her this year, but other than that everyone else meshed well and we started to feel sort of like a family. I really enjoyed it and I can't wait for the next camp.

I have been reading like crazy! I started reading the Twilight series about 2 weeks ago and just finished the 3rd book. I couldn't put them down. I read each one in a day or less! Obsessive I know, but they are just too good. Now I am reading them all over again. I can't wait till the new one comes out on August 1st. I am debating on the movie. When I read I picture things a certain way and I don't want the movie to ruin how good the books were. Maybe I am just paranoid.

We got Rockband a week ago and we have played it pretty much every day since. I have to tell you that I am pretty good at the drums. Guess I inherited it from my dad. My family says I am quite entertaining on the Mic, I am just afraid that people will think I am drunk. I guess I get a little crazy. I really enjoy it though. It's something we can all do together.

I got Ashley's and Wyatt's wedding invite and Ashley's bridal shower invite too. I am so excited! I can't believe my big brother is getting married. I still remember the nights we would stay up and build dominos just we could knock them all down. Donny would get so tired we'd always yell "Fork!" and he would laugh. Those were the days. Or the time we played with the bow and arrows and the bb guns. We ran all around Prather shooting each other. It's so exciting!

I went with Kristi to take Miranda to the dentist on Thursday. We got there right on time, but there were already a million people in the waiting room. We waited for a little bit, but the nurse told Kristi that Miranda might not get in till 12 even though her appointment was at 10:30. I took Sarah and Hayden home with me. Sarah and I played Hannah Montana where I had to dance like a 7th grader and Sarah had to dance on one foot. It was a lot of fun. Even Hayden got in on the action. We went swimming after, but Hayden didn't like the pool much and Sarah got bored without Miranda. So, we came in and had ice cream cones. After a few minutes I went to see where Hayden had gone too. I found him on the couch. I guess he got reall tired. Sarah and I watched Anatstasia. One of my favorite Disney movies and we waited for Kristi and Miranda to get done. She finally went in at 2:45 and was done by 3:20. It was a little ridiculous. I gave Sarah a skirt of mine to have. She looked so cute in it. We went to pick them up. Miranda looked miserable. She had blood all over her shirt and could not stop crying. I stayed at Kristi's house for a while. We went to Target so I could get my book, we went and got something to eat, and then we went back to her house. We played Wii fitt for a while. I have to tell you that I am good at the push up/side plank one and the tight rope walking one. It was fun. Then we settled down to watch Toy Story, Haydens's favorite movie right now. I have never seen him sit for such a long time. It was really cute to watch. When Kristi and Chris first started dating, Chris took Donny to see that same movie in theatre's. It's ironic and totally adorable. I can't wait for little Jonathan Ryan to come now.

The next day was the 4th of July. We went to the breakfast in the morning. Surprisingly, it was a lot of fun. I read like the whole day. I went downstairs when Kristi and the kids came. Hayden wasn't one for the pool, but my mom took him in anyway. He was so cute walking around in his little towel. He would not let go of his little soccer ball. We all ate dinner and then watched the fireworks. We live across the street from Buchanan so we took our chairs and sat in the middle of the street. They had a pretty good show this year. We had some pretty good fireworks of our own too. Of course the boys got a little out of hand, but it was fun. After the fireworks we had ice cream and then went to bed. It was a traditional 4th of July, but it was a lot of fun. Every year I think about Kristi's Ooh and Ah theory. When we were little we went to go watch the fireworks and one year she decided that it doesn't have to be Ooh and Ah, but more like ooh, ooh, ah, ah. It was weird, but something that has always stuck with me. Hayden didn't like fireworks, but the girls loved their sparklers. Now, after having my 4 day weekend I don't want to go back to work. Oh well.

The Baby and Sissy...

I got home from work last night at 8:15 and Sadie was out in the front yard with my mom. I thought it was just because my mom was a little lonely, but I soon learned that a few moments before my arrival, Sadie found Birdie's sister. I soon named her Sissy Birdie. The 2 of them were so incredibly cute! They cuddled up all night together. It was just what Baby Birdie needed. I was so excited because now Baby wasn't alone. I thought Sissy may even help her survive through the next couple of weeks. This is a picture of baby. He doesn't have all of his feathers yet, but he is super cute. Every time he gets hungry he looks at you, opens his mouth, and chirps like crazy. It's adorable. Sissy didn't really do much last night. She only cuddled up in the corner and went to sleep. At first we tried to seperate them with a towel, but Baby was very persistant and found his way over to Sissy. It was so cute watching them cuddle together. When I woke up this morning and put Sadie outside I checked on the birds. They were very hungry and were chirping like crazy, but they were both still cuddled up in the corner together. It was so cute. I kept Sadie outside and went upstairs to read. A few hours later, or about 20 minutes ago, I got a text from Terry saying that Sissy got out and Sadie ate her. It broke my heart. I ran downstairs to see what was going on. I thought maybe Terry was joking. I found Sadie by the door with pieces of Sissy in her mouth and on the ground. I immediately starting crying. I love every animal very much and it breaks my heart that Sadie, who I love more than anything can do that do a helpless animal. I know she didn't know better, but it still breaks my heart. There is nothing left of Sissy to bury, but I will always remember her.

This is Sissy Birdie. I didn't mind that one of my oldest friends from high school texted me at 9am. Her and her husband, one of my other long time friends, Cortland, came back to town for the weekend and since they couldn't make it for any of the 8 funerals in the last 3 years they had no idea where any of the grave sites were. I figured I haven't been out there in a while so I should go visit them.

As you know, Buchanan has had 6 young men die fighting in the war and I was especially good friends with 1. RIP Tony... However, on top of those 6, 2 others have lost their lives as well. Including one of my best friends since the 9th grade... RIP FRANK RUMPH.

This was Frank his senior year. Many who know Frank knew of his outrageous stuggles in his life. However, a year ago, Frank decided to change his life and go into rehab... He had been clean and sober for 10 months and was happier then ever. However, on April 16, 2008, Frank died of a heart attack. Not because he had relapsed, but because his heart simply couldn't take anymore from the years of drug abuse. Frank was an amazing person and he'll always be remembered. This is Frank the day before he died...

Tony was another great friend of mine. Our senior year of high school Tony started dating my best friend MacKenzie. She was finally happy. Tony came back from boot camp, but I didn't see him. He left for his first tour and never came back. Tony and 6 other men entered a house in Iraq not knowing what was inside. A bomb went off. Tony helped one soldier out of the burning house only to go back in for the others. Tony came out one more time, but went in again. That time, Tony didn't make it out. Tony saved the lives of 2 men that day and was awarded the Purple Heart. His headstone now reads, "Our Hero." Tony really is a hero and he too will always be remembered.

I hate being sick...

The last few days have been so incredibly horrible. I would wake up with the worst headache and not want to do anything all day. I had so many things that I needed to do, but didn't do any of them. Not only did I have a really bad headache, but I also had a sore throat and a runny nose. I think I got it from Hayden on Thursday. Oh well... So, I pretty much slept ALL day. Sunday was Father's Day of course. I went to church with my family, but didn't stay the whole time because my headache came back in the middle of sunday school. Before church I took 3 huge pills and not even 3 hours later it came back! How retarded is that? So, me being me... I know it's really bad for you to take more than the recommended dose and so close together because the old pills are still in your system, but I did it anyway. So I took those 3 (recommended is only 2) before church and then after sunday school (which is 2 hours after and your supposed to take them every 4hrs) I took 3 more. I felt great and my headache was finally gone for good! BUT, those were the last daytime ones so I knew I would be screwed today. I decided to take some nightime ones before I went to bed and hope that I would kick this before today, but I woke up with the same runny nose and I noticed that I developed a cough! HOWEVER, NO HEADACHE!! I was ecstatic!!

The Baby Birdie

Yesterday while we were doing yardwork a baby bird fell off of our roof. It happens all the time, but it's so incredibly sad because they usually die. However, this one didn't! It's so small and cute. Terry picked it up and made it a little house. I feel so bad because I know it needs to be taken care of by it's mother, but sometimes if you put a baby bird back in it's nest the mom wont take care of it. I couldn't kill it and I couldn't just let it die... so we have taken it into our house. For the last 2 days we have been digging for worms, crushing them up, and feeding them to Birdie. I know there is a great chance that Birdie might die before he's ready to fly away, but I am hoping that he lives. If he doesn't, I have already found a burial spot for him in our backyard. My parents don't know about it yet, but I can always do it without them finding out. I was going to take a picture of him, but he's still a little scared of everything around him. Maybe in a few days he'll be ready.

Virtual Hairstyle

I had to try it... I love her to death! Sadie used to sleep with me every night when she first started living with me. It was easier that way because she used to sleep in Jon's bed every night. However, when summer ended and school started it got really annoying. Every time she would wake up, I would wake up. She was still a puppy and wasn't sleeping through the whole night yet so she would get up and play at like 4 a.m. I was exhausted all day! I put up with it for one semester and during Christmas, but when the next semester started I decided to keep Sadie in her pen during the night. It wasn't bad at all and there were nights where I would try to have her sleep with me, but she would end up jumping back into her pen and go to bed. So when summer started and I didn't have class anymore I had Sadie sleep with me for a few nights. She is quite the cuddler and she makes herself comfortable in any spot. Even on my head. It's really cute. She wakes up every morning and spends about an hour looking out the window. I still haven't figured out what she looks at, but it's really cute.

At 6:40 a.m. my Mom comes in to say goodbye when she leaves for work and for some reason Sadie thinks it's time to wake up. At first I would just open the blinds and get more sleep while she looked out the window, but now the window doesn't keep her attention as well as it used to and she starts barking at the people outside, so I started putting her back in the pen. She cried all morning until I picked her back up and put her in bed with me. After a few days of that I just started ignoring her and yelling at her. She would lay down and cry quietter and give me this face. She looks and soudnds so incredibly sad. So, she started sleeping with me again and it's now her fault that I am awake at 6:15 writing a blog about her. The last couple of days when Sadie starts making this face, I go in the guest room to finish sleeping. However, this morning something quite different happend.

Sadie woke me up at 5:30 in the morning this morning. She came right up to my face and started giving me kisses. I put my blanket over her and she fell right to sleep again. I was so incredibly happy. However, at 6:11 this morning I woke up to Sadie throwing up in my bed. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. I didn't know why she was sick. I cleaned up my bed and then reorganized her pen so the carpet was covered just in case she got sick again.

I groom dogs. I cut the hair of 2 yorkies and my pug, I clip their nails, clean their ears, and brush their teeth. So, I recently bought Sadie a new toothbrush which she loved. It has bristles on both ends! I usually put toothpaste on it and brush her teeth and then I give it to her and she chews on the bristles for a little while. This is how I have brushed her teeth since she came to live with me. It's really cute to watch. She loves it! However, this morning while I was cleaning her pen I found her toothbrush half eaten! I am pretty sure that is what is making he sick. When I grabbed it she thought I was playing with her so she snatched it out of my hand and ran away with it. When I try to take things away from Sadie or try to put her in the pen when she doesn't want to go she hides under the bed. It's not impossible to get her out since I own such a small bed, but it's really cute. She doesn't just hide under the bed, but she pokes her head out and watches me. She thinks that I can't see her. I got her out, put her in the pen, and went to sleep in the guest room, but the computer was calling my name. I couldn't go back to sleep so I blogged.

I love my puppy to death, but whoever said dogs aren't like babies lied. She is just like a baby... ony with a scrunched face and big googly eyes.

Not a typical Friday...

I decided to sleep in yesterday because it had been a long week and I felt I needed it. However, because I was so lazy I had to rush to get everything done before work. I got ready in record time and made it to Kristi's house by 11:15. I almost forgot the charger which is the reason I was going over there in the first place and I did forget the deep frier. Ooops! Since I was so early I had time to relax when I got there. After she got home from the bank we watched Disturbia, great movie, and Blog hopped for a while. I love hanging out with my sister. Anyway, before I knew it, it was 12:30 and I had to meet my friend Emily for sushi. YUMMY! Kristi asked me to drop something off for her. Of course I did, but I wasn't quite sure how to get there.

So I picked Emily up first and figured we could share this adventure together. Kristi gave me a map to make it easier, but when we got there they were doing all this construction! They signs were really close to the lanes and I accidently hit one. No damage to my car, but all the workers laughed at me. Anyway, I had to find all different ways to try to get around it and when I finally did we found out we passed the building way before the construction! Oh man it was quite an adventure. The things I do for my family! So Emily and I went for sushi and I must say that I am a good sushi picker. Then I headed off to work. However, before I tell you that I have to tell you a story...

Ok, I bought a new shirt 2 weeks ago from American Eagle and I absolutely loved it... until I wore it to work on Thursday. So, as many of you know... before I can leave I have to clean the whole office, including the bathrooms. I was cleaning the toilets with this new toilet cleaner my boss got me. At first I was really excited because it was green, but in the middle of my cleaning the toilet I accidently splashed the water onto my shirt. This new cleaner had bleach in it! It totally ruined my shirt, which made me really upset!

So, when I got to work I told my boss what happend. I told him we needed to open a fund to reimburse people for their ruined clothes since he has ruined a couple of shirst at work too. We were just joking around though. This is the first job I have actually enjoyed (except for the cleaning part). I can joke around with my boss' and some night we all just make fun of each other. So, after everyone left he came up to me and told me to write shirt on the bottom of my pay check and he would give me $30. That is like a whole day of me working! Lol... I of course told him he didn't have to and that my shirt didn't even cost that much to beign with. He replied, "Then go buy a nicer one!"

So today my Mom and I went on a shopping spree! I bought my shirt, not the same color but still cute. We went to Aeropostale for mom because she likes the long shorts and they were 50% off. After 20mins she finally talked me into trying a pair on because I will need some for the Athletic Training program. Surprisingly I liked them. Not saying I will start wearing them, but I guess they are ok for the program. For any of you who know me... I hate long shorts so this is a big step! I am really excited for my first camp on June 21-24. It's just high school, but I can't wait!

Awards!!

The morning after Donny's graduation, I woke up bright and early even though I was exhausted from the night before. Kristi and I went to Sarah and Miranda's award ceremony. I would have taken pics, but my mom had my camera still. Anyway, Sarah got perfect attendence and High Honor Roll and Miranda got Character Counts for Trustworthiness. Would would have guessed!! Sarah was a little upset that she didn't get a medal for reader of the month, but Kristi and I both understood. There were kids with over 200 points! It was a bit ridiculous, but good for them right?

I love Sarah, Miranda, and Hayden. They are the 3 cutest kids in the whole world and I can't wait till Kristi has her 4th and last kid. He doen't have a name yet even though Chris and I like to joke about it. Sarah has always been so smart, but this year I hear Miranda is giving her a run for her money. She got straight A's and is reading at a higher level then most 1st graders. Who would have known. She went through so much in the first grade and has come out quite accomplished!

After the awards ceremony we went back to Kristi's house and watched the beginning of The Hills season 2. She has been such a trooper in downloading all the shows I am crazily obsessed with! I love you Kristi. Around 11:30 we got lunch and headed to the park to meet Kristi's long time friend Jennifer. It was Jennifer and her 2 kids, Kristi and Hayden, Jennifers sister, Ashley, who brought her son, and Ashleys friend, Michelle, who brought her 2 kids. It was so cute to watch them all play together. I can't wait till I can have play dates of my own. Although Donny has already given up hope, I am still holding out for a great husband and 3-4 kids. The other day he told me I should go on the Bachelor! What a character, but I love him. For the record... I would not go on the Bachelor, I would be a Bachelorette and that wont happen until I get really desperate. Or when I hit like 27. Whichever one comes first : )

Class of 2008

So, my little brother graduated on Wednesday night. It's so crazy to be in the stadium thinking that I was in his position 3 years ago. I had never gotten a chance to sit in the stadium before because I was always cheering at the football games so it was a whole new experience. We got there an hour early and there were NO seats. We ended up sitting like 3 rows from the very very top and we were all smooshed in. However, in true Buchanan style, the graduation was great. They walked in the same way they always do and they spelled out 2008. Chris and I were a little disappointed because there were no jets during the National Anthem, but I guess it was still ok. Anywat, in the middle of my crazy high school flashbacks I actually managed to listen to some of the speakers and the names that were being called out. It is so crazy to hear all of the accomplishments that student recieve now. One student had a 4.6 and took 10 AP classes! I was absolutely amazed!

The one thing that was different from previouse years was that this year they set out 6 blue and white stars on the field representing all 6 of the Buchanan graduates that have lost their lives in the line of duty. I knew 4 of the 6 and one was an especially good friend of mine. RIP Tony! It hit me really hard because the last time I saw Tony we were graduating and then he left for Iraq. I have been to too many funerals in the last 3 years and I don't want to go to another one for another 30. It was beautiful they way they presented it. They had 6 white doves, one for each soldier, and then during the moment of silence they released a bunch more. The second group of doves flew into the bushes at first and then had to be shewed out, but it was still beautiful.

Anyway, the graduation was short and sweet. The speaker had a "Lights, Camera, Action" theme and related high school to a movie with Lindsay Lohan in it somewhere. There were 700 students in Donny's class, but it seemed to go by much faster than in previous years. Donny had them call out his full name, but I would have done the same thing. I am so proud of him for graduating!

Graduation time...

My little brother, Donny, is graduating tomorrow! I am so excited for him, but I have to admit that it's a little scary to think about. Donny and I used to do everything together. I have known him his whole life and it's weird to think that he is so grown up now.

Yesterday Donny, Kristi and her family, and I all went to my Dad's house for dinner. I knew my cousin Sonja and Aunt Helen were gonna be there, but to my surprise it was also my Uncle Brian, his wife, and his kids and their kids. It's so crazy to see people you haven't seen in forever. It sucks that my aunt and her family live close (compared to every one else in our family) and we never see them. Family is a big deal to me so when I see family that I haven't seen in a while it makes me sad that I don't get to see them more. I missed my grandparents and my aunts and cousins.

So, it was almost time to leave and I saw Jills, my step-mom, scrapbook. I love looking at her pages because I love scrapbooking too. She's a lot better then me, but it always gives me ideas for mine. In the back of the book she had 2 pages. One had pictures of me and my brothers and sisters and the last one had pictures of me, Cody, Donny, and Wyatt. This page especially caught my attention because I don't really think about all the fun we used to have together anymore. Cody and Wyatt still live in Fresno of course, but I rarely see them. It makes me sad because the four of us used to be so close. I wish we still were.

On the way home I was talking to Donny about it. We went through the longest trip down memory lane. It started out with the of us and how we used to watch movies in Cody's water bed or how we would play Monopoly on nintendo until we were so tired (thanks Wyatt for stealing all of my money just so you could win lol). It then turned into just me and Donny and how we used to clean out our pan cupboards and sit in them with pillows all day just eating Cheerios. We talked about how we used to sit in front of the TV in laundry baskets watching Power Rangers. Donny and I were best friends. Which is why I am happy he decided to stay home for at least another year. I am a little upset that I will no longer be getting his room or his bed, but I can live with it I guess. Anyway, I am so proud of him and I love him very much.

So I finally gave in...

So I finally decided to give in. I read Kristi's and Sheryl's blogs at least once a day and decided that I might as well give this blog thing a try. It actually seems sort of fun. I feel like such a computer geek! I have myspace for most of my friends, facebook for Ayda, and now a blog for Kristi and Sheryl. I figured it was a good way to keep in touch with other family members like Cody and my soon to be step-sister in-law, Ashley, who I only met yesterday. I am not a stalker I promise. I just like family. So I guess we will see how this all works out.
